Council approves $649k in capital projects

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph council approves $649k in capital improvements. Mayor Forstenhausler and the Township Council voted 7 to 0 on 17 combined-action resolutions during their June 2 meeting; Mayor Forstenhausler abstained on three fire-related items. Major approvals included a $150,000 Department of Public Works truck cab and chassis, $173,509 in truck accessories, a $226,350 containment system, and $99,000 in playground equipment for Heistein Park.

The council designated June 2026 as Pride Month while recognizing Eagle Scouts Matthew Munch, Rohan Gupta, and Mehul Makhija; Parks Director Russ Newman retired after 30 years and was succeeded by Assistant Director Steve Eisenstein.
