Planning Board adopts Housing Element and Fair Share Plan

Planning Board · Meeting of February 2, 2026

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph Planning Board adopts Housing Element and Fair Share Plan addressing 219 units of unmet need. Planning Consultant Katherine Sarmad presented the plan, which proposes rezoning multifamily zones in the SS/VO, VCR-3 Overlay and South Salem Street Overlay District zones. The board must address 25 percent of unmet need, which equals 73 units for Randolph.

The Board voted unanimously on February 2 to adopt the plan, which removes the Randolph Mountain site from consideration and faces a March 15, 2026 state deadline for implementation.
