Planning Board approves 75-unit townhouse development with affordable housing

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph approves 75-unit townhouse development with 15 affordable units. The Planning Board voted 8-0 to approve MSP 26-01 for Toll NJ I, LLC at 855 Route 10, a 6.84-acre development in the R-12 zone with eight buildings containing 60 market-rate and 15 affordable units. Affordable units are identical to market-rate in design and material quality.

The board approved two variances: a C-2 variance for a 16-square-foot internal sign and a C-1 variance for steep-slope disturbance on 0.6 acres managed through terraced retaining walls. Commissioner Veech obtained conditions including a 30-foot roadway width and half-bathrooms in three-bedroom affordable units.
