Planning Board unanimously approves four zoning ordinances boosting density

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph Planning Board unanimously approves four zoning ordinances to boost residential density. Planning and Zoning Administrator Darren Carney presented ordinances that increase residential density from 10 to 15 units per acre in two overlay districts and from 7 to 12 units per acre in a third. Commissioner Veech moved the ordinances with support from Commissioners Whiting and Suchyta.
All four ordinances also raise affordable housing set-asides to 20 percent regardless of tenure and establish a new development fee ordinance to support affordable housing obligations.
