NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph Township Council advances 2026 budget with manager-recommended adjustments designed to ease property tax burden on residents. Manager Greg Poff recommended using an additional $190,000 in fund balance and deferring capital projects to cut the tax levy by $295,000; the adjustments reduced the average assessed home impact from an anticipated $232.50 increase to just $32.81 in savings. Police Chief Will Harzula announced the department achieved 100 percent authorized staffing at 36 sworn officers for the first time in more than four years, having responded to 36,000 calls for service in 2025.
The Council voted unanimously to introduce six ordinances including three zoning amendments projected to yield approximately 73 affordable housing units and amendments to water and sewer rate schedules averaging $12 and $10.50 in additional quarterly charges per customer.
