Randolph Council appoints municipal clerk amid public plea for parks priorities

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph Council unanimously appoints new municipal clerk as public urges parks facility priority. Deputy Clerk Mariam Sabri was unanimously appointed as Municipal Clerk, succeeding the retiring Clerk Luciani at month's end. The council also unanimously passed ordinances on second reading for bingo and raffle licenses and introduced three new ordinances: establishing grease interceptor maintenance standards; permitting craft alcoholic beverage production in industrial zones; and appropriating $72,000 for Harvey Terrace pedestrian improvements and police conducted energy devices.
Extended public comment urged council to prioritize improvements at Brundage Park softball complex due to field condition and ADA concerns, and raised transparency questions about school governance and budget allocation.
