Randolph Council approves $40.2 million budget, raises tax rate

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph approves $40.2 million budget with 7.83 percent tax increase. The Township Council unanimously advanced the 2026 municipal budget, proposing appropriations of $40,220,942, a 6.72 percent increase over 2025. The municipal tax rate will rise to $0.537 per $100 of assessed valuation from $0.498, raising the annual tax on the average assessed home by $199.68.
The total tax-bill increase including county and school taxes is projected at $404.65, or 2.80 percent, driven primarily by insurance, salaries and wages, capital improvements, pensions, and solid waste collection. The public hearing and adoption are scheduled for April 7.
