Township Council approves directive for water and sewer rate ordinance

NJ RANDOLPH — Randolph Township approves water and sewer rate increases for first time since 2019. The Township Council unanimously directed Township Manager Greg Poff to prepare an ordinance increasing water and sewer rates following a seven-year freeze, voting 6-0 with Councilman Hathaway absent. The Water and Sewer Utility Rate Analysis recommended volumetric increases of five percent for water and sewer in 2026, declining to 2.5 percent by 2028, addressing rising operational costs and bulk water purchase price increases averaging five percent annually from Morris County.
The average household bill will increase by approximately ninety dollars in the first year, with quarterly billing.
